Major General Hermínio Maio, commander of the European Union Training Mission in the Central African Republic (EUTM-RCA), met last Friday with Portuguese Delegation to NATO.
Among the discussed issues, we outline the operational status of the Mission, as well as a joint reflection on the political and humanitarian environment of the country.
In accordance with the international commitments undertaken by Portugal, the Portuguese Armed Forces participate in the European Union Training Mission in the Central African Republic (EUTM-RCA) with 53 military personnel, and in the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA), with 216 military personnel.
